Sri Lanka is a many-faceted tourist draw. Canoeing routes usually begin at the gem-mining town of Ratnapura and continue downstream past a veritable montage of natural and cultural scenery. Dont forget to pet the tame baby crocodiles and snakes that tour guides are wont to produce at the end of every journey. It is also advised that you dress lightly for this sunny excursion, anointing yourself liberally with insect repellant and sunscreen.
