Rocco Forte Celebrates Opening Of Debut Abu Dhabi Hotel

Rocco Forte is celebrating the launch of its debut property outside of Europe with the opening of the new Rocco Forte Hotel Abu Dhabi.

The luxury hotel opened its doors to business travellers and tourists taking Abu Dhabi holidays this week and the eleven-storey building has become a major landmark in the city with its stunning green and blue wave-shaped glass structure.

Located opposite Zayed Sports City, the brand new hotel has 281 spacious guest rooms and suites, and a dedicated executive floor and lounge with seven meeting rooms, a VIP majlis, and an elegant ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 guests.

The hotel took four years to make and its iconic glass structure allows it to stand out from surrounding Abu Dhabi hotels. The property was designed by architects, WS Atkins and Partners, and developed by the United Arab Emirates Al Farida Investments Company in association with Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC).

The structure of the luxury hotel was inspired by the rolling sand dunes of the desert and the sparkling blue waters of the Arabian Gulf. The interiors of the property feature glass, marble and mosaics and guest rooms are equipped with modern amenities including iPod docking stations, Nespresso coffee machines, and spacious bathrooms.

During Abu Dhabi holidays, guests will be able to indulge at the hotels spacious 2,000sqm spa that features separate male and female facilities, a traditional wet and dry hammam, indoor swimming pools, a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool, 15 spa treatment rooms, a yoga/Pilates studio, and a modern fitness centre.

Guests enjoying holidays in Abu Dhabi at the new Rocco Forte hotel can choose from a selection of dining options, including the Martin Brudnizki-designed Oro Italian restaurant; the Oceana Grill, a seafood restaurant; Rouge, with a menu offering contemporary Japanese and Chinese cuisine; and Browns Tea Lounge. In December, Noche, a Latin-American-inspired lounge will open and guests will be able to enjoy South American music and entertainment from international DJs.
