Problem: tendency to rush fills and then beat starts going faster too

Solution: Practice your fills with a click beat and record or video yourself

Problem: When I play my fill, I don't know where I am in the beat and lose my place

Solution: See if you can write out the notes and figure out what is happening on each beat -

understand what is really happening in the fill

Problem: I can't get the coordination of this beat!

Solution: 1) look at the notes and understand it 2) take it super ultra slow and play all hands and feet at the right times -then gradually speed up and get your coordination
