Roger Waters Tickets - The Wall Tour Continues To Captivate Concertgoers

Roger Waters has stated that The Wall Tour may very well be his last ever

, ending a long career of putting on memorable concerts. Combine this with the fact that The Wall has never been performed on this scale, and most likely never will again, it means that Roger Waters tickets are a popular item for fans. The Wall itself is by and large a creation of Waters, performed originally by Pink Floyd.

Waters has always been known as a showman's showman, creating concerts on different scales. He's been known in the past to tour in a stripped down manner, with little in the way of a stage show, other times he's put on stadium-sized spectacles a la his days performing with Pink Floyd. The Wall Tour showcases Waters at his best, putting on a grand show for his audience. He has left a wake of concertgoers in awe of what they have seen, as it is a non-stop experience of the senses.

When The Wall originally came out in 1979, it was largely regarded as Waters own ego being the driving force behind the album, as well as the subsequent breakup of Pink Floyd. The tour that followed was successful, but it was the last of the band in the incarnation that had been together for well over a decade. 30 years later, Waters has left that persona behind, even going so far as to mock his "messed up" self from that period in his life on stage. He has created an entirely new aspect to The Wall by removing his ego, and letting the performer out.

The centerpiece of the tour, the wall, takes on a socio-political aspect that was largely absent in the original intent of the album. It acts as a memorial for war victims of the 20th century, including Waters' father, who was killed in action during WWII. But the wall is used for so much more than flashing snippets of war footage onto; it becomes a backdrop for images and multimedia, with the infamous flying pig crashing into it at one point. In fact, it is so central to the concert that it obscures the band, and even subsumes Waters in its shadow.

All is not focused on the wall itself, however. A homeless man wanders around the audience area, with a shopping cart loaded with trash. As the time winds down, the homeless man and his cart find their way to the stage, whereupon he throws the infamous Pink doll onto the stage, signaling the start of the show. Pink makes an appearance later as a blow-up figure on top of the wall, while the Schoolmaster from the movie shows up as a giant puppet. Waters plays "Mother" with a video of himself performing the song 30 years ago playing on the wall. During the performance, another blow up figure of mother, modeled on the movie version, appears on top of the wall.

The show is an amazing blend of technology, pyrotechnics, creativity, and music brought together in one venue. It is truly a unique experience like no other.
