, a trip to the balmy beaches of Goa is a treat for ones senses. Goa is around 670 km south west from Hyderabad. Since Goa is well connected by roads, rails and air it is very easily accessible from Hyderabad.

Hyderabad, the city of pearls, is the capital of Andhra Pradesh and the largest city in the state. Known for its unique culture, Hyderabad attracts a lot of people with its art, architecture, theatre, drama, literature and cuisine.

The Basilica houses the mortal remains of Goas patron saint St Francis Xavier whose body is taken every 12 years for veneration and public viewing.


If you are planning to travel by road, then there are various options like driving your own vehicle, hiring a cab or taking a bus. The roads are in very good condition and with the route being quite a scenic one, driving will be a pleasant 10 hour journey. Several buses ply between these two places and it takes around 11 hours by bus. The roads have various facilities like petrol bunks, hotels with clean wash rooms on the way for your convenience.

Private operated buses come under different categories like ordinary, AC multi axle, AC and non AC sleeper, semi sleeper with push back seats, and 2 X 2 coaches. One can book these buses on various net portals. The cost of a seat may cost from Rs. 700 to Rs. 900 depending on the bus.

Travelling by your own car has the charm of its own.

There are many trains also plying between Hyderabad and Goa. Take a train from Hyderabad Deccan Nampally Railway Station to Dabolim Railway Station of Goa. The train journey takes around 18 hours, and from there Goa city is around 40 km and can be easily reached by local buses or cab. Some of the trains running between the cities of Hyderabad and Goa are Kacheguda Yeswasthpur Express and Hyderabad Deccan Tirupati Rayalaseema Express.

Flying from Hyderabad to Goa is an easy commute lasting just 2 hours. From the airport, the city centre is around 43 km and can be easily reached by hiring a cab.
