The very famous college hotspot for the students of the University of Mumbai, Kalina "Walk in" has now gotten a make-over and has become "Potoba". The owner of Walk Inn has given his restaurant to this chain of restaurants called Potoba who have over 7 chains of restaurants all over India. "Potoba-gharachi aathwan" as the board reads specializes in the common man's basic food, it is mostly famous for good Marathi home food recopies. But over the years their menu has evolved and now even caters to a continental palette.
The whole atmosphere around the area has completely changed , what used to be a hotspot for young teens has now transformed to a fun family restaurant. It has changed the way everyone used to see the restaurant. Getting there is no big deal, it is located on C.S.T road just opposite the university of Mumbai, Kalina. When you get there trying their Marathi cuisine is a must. The Pithla bhakri is a must have! the menu is priced very reasonably and the ambience of the restaurant makes you feel much at home although one way they can improve is in their seating arrangement as there isn't enough leg space between the chairs and the tables but other than that the whole restaurant is a fun filled experience and is fun for the whole family. What used to be called the teenage junkyard is now packed everyday with so many families. And has filled what Kalina has been missing a Marathi cuisine themed restaurant, with no other competition around the block, Potoba is bound to be a huge success.
