Legal factors related to metal probe may differ from place to place which indirectly depends upon the democratic aspects of a country. In some countries, rules governing excavations and findings under the earth are almost the same for metal search as well, with a few exceptions here and there. In addition, it is important to know that legal aspects get updated with time.

It is not only an obligation to know the laws of your country (and your state or city if it is applicable) but this makes you more aware of the process in general.
