Rumors Say Apple May Release An Ipad Mini This Year

When everybody is expecting an iphone 5, there comes something weird

. It is said that Apple may release a new ipad with smaller size of 7 inches. Would that be true? And do you feel interested if it is?

As someone may still remember, Steve Jobs has publicly refused the value of a 7-in tablet and said he had no interest in producing a smaller tablet than the present ipad. Nevertheless, rumors about a 7-inch ipad had been existed since long before. And now Barclays analyst Ben Reitzes declaims that it might be more than just a rumor.

According to Reitzes, the investment firm is still holding out hope that Apple will add a 7-inch tablet to its lineup. "Our global research team still sees some evidence of this product in the supply chain--and we wouldn't be surprised if it wound up in the iPod touch category if it indeed sees daylight," the analyst said. He did not provide any further details in the research note though.

Apple makes ipad and iphone which have been the leader in tablet pc and smartphones both. But that doesnt mean a 7 inch tablet would have no value. As a matter of fact, about 52% of customers would consider buying a mini ipad with lower price according to a survey. Besides, Amazons Kindle Fire has been selling really well, which proves the fact that a 7 inch tablet is acceptable by customers.

Another reason of ipad mini rumors being popular is that customers love stuff with cheap prices. Although people may not like the smaller screen size, they will love the smaller price tags for sure. And thats why cheap ipad accessories are always more popular than best ipad accessories with better materials and high prices.

Now that the market demand for an ipad mini with lower price is increasing, would Apple change its old thoughts? Apple designer Jonathan Ives recently told the London Evening Standard, "Our goals are very simpleto design and make better products. If we can't make something that is better, we won't do it." So does an ipad mini means better or not to him?
