The runner should be professionally cleaned; however, this will ensure that the runner retains its shape. Whatever room you decide to place this runner in to, it will look and feel comfortable in there. Now, we could go on forever, about all these runners and how great they are, but there are a few serious points that you may need to consider. Is this runner, the right runner for the room you are putting it into? Well, that is down to your own preference; however, you will need to double check to see if the runner will fit in with your current decor scheme.
We also suggest that you measure your room that will have your new runner in. It is advisable that there is a clear area around your runner. There are a couple of reasons for this. Not only does the runner look better when you have either a wooden or laminate floor underneath, to help contrast the runners colours, or even a carpet underneath. If you are having a carpet underneath, then you would not have to worry about having the non slip backing. The second reason is more of a safety issue. If your runner is too close to a door, and the door and runner make contact, firstly, the door will not fully open. Secondly, if the door constantly makes contact with the runner, the runner will eventually start to curl up around the edge, and then may become a trip hazard. Not an ideal situation for any home or work place.
