Their shields and artillery can be compared to current technology with respect to resiliency and defense against bullets. They are easily protected from chemical agents, though they can still die if exposed to potent forms of radiation attack. Additionally, the zerg species can interact and maneuver in a diverse mix of environments and regenerate its powers through a unity of psychic connection with all other zerg strains.
