Cultured marble is considered much durable to common marble hence it is commonly used in dressing up the surfaces of the bathroom. The said material is also used to make vanity tops, bath tubs, shower surround and bases. It is not difficult to clean them and they can last for several years if maintained properly. Some stains in the marble are difficult to remove and they may require you to use stronger cleaners. When this happens, avoid cleaners with acid. Paint thinner, turpentine or denatured alcohol are some of the stronger cleaners that are safe to use on these marbles. To make certain that these cleaners won't damage them, test it first by applying it on a small part of the marble.

The shine of the marble also fades, thus, it is important to wax it to restore the shine. Car wax and counter top wax are safe to use on cultured marble. Such material is prone to scratch, therefore, avoid dropping heavy stuff on them.
