Saif Ali Khan - Bollywood Actor

Saif ali khan was born on the 16th of august, 1970

. his father is mansoor ali khan who is the eighth nawab of pataudi and former captain of the indian cricket team. His mother is sharmila tagore is a famous bollywood actress.

She is also the Head of the Indian film censorship board and the grandniece of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Saif has two sisters Saba Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan.

His grandmother was Sajida Sultan, Begum of Bhopal and his greatuncle was Pakistani general Nawabzada Sher Ali Khan Pataudi. His paternal grandfather, Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi, was the Nawab of Pataudi as well as a skillful cricketer who first played for England and then was the Captain of the Indian Cricket team.

Saif studied at the Lawrence School in Sanawar. Later he attended Lockers Park School in Hertfordshire. He followed in his father footsteps by attending Winchester College, a school for boys in UK.

Saif ali khan made his debut in bollywood with yash chopra parampara (1992). He was seen alongside aamir khan, raveena tandon, neelam kothari, sunil dutt and vinod khanna. But the film failed to succeed at the box office.

Next he was seen in Aashiq awara (1993), opposite Mamta Kulkarni, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut. His other film in 1993 was pehchaan, directed by deepak shivdasani. He was seen alongside Sunil Shetty, Shilpa Shirodkar and Madhoo.

Saif Ali Khan breakthrough role came with yeh dillagi, produced by Yash Chopra. The film was successful at the box office. Saif was seen alongside Kajol and Akshay Kumar. Next he was seen in main khiladi tu anari (1994) alongside akshay kumar, shilpa shetty and raageshwari. It was directed by sameer malkan.

The film was a hit. Saif was nominated for the filmfare award for best supporting actor. In the same year saif did two more films named yaar gadaar and aao pyaar karen both the movies did not do well on the box office. Saif ali khan will be seen in agent vinod, opposite kareena kapoor. The film will be produced by Saif and directed by Sriram raghavan.

In october 1991, saif ali khan married actress amrita singh. They have two children, a son ibrahim ali khan and a daughter sara ali khan. Saif and Amrita divorced in 2004 after 13 years of marriage. Their children live with Amrita. Saif Ali Khan is currently dating actress Kareena Kapoor.
