If you're involved in internet marketing, you'll know the feeling

. You've spent ages crafting your landing page. It looks fantastic. You've covered all the angles the gurus told you about. So, you release it to the net, and wait for the orders to pile in.

Twenty four hours later your stats tell you that you've had some reasonable traffic. That's great news. You've reached first base. You're getting people to visit you. Unfortunately, however, there are no sales. Your landing page isn't converting!

So you start tweaking the page. You change the text here. You switch images there. You add a video too. But it doesn't matter what you try, the conversions don't happen. You're pushing the pebble uphill with your nose!

The reason may well be outside of anything logical like the words or the pictures on your page. You need to realize that there are more powerful forces at work here. What am I talking about?

The key to why your sales landing page is not converting can be found in the subconscious mind of your page visitors. As soon as your page is displayed, the subconscious forms an instant opinion of what it is seeing. What is happening to you is that your page is not getting a positive reception by the subconscious of your visitor.

For maximum impact, your web pages need to appeal to the subconscious mind of the people you're trying to sell to. You're not alone here. Very few webmasters are aware of this aspect of web design.
