Salsa Can Be An Exciting Complement To Your Cuba Holidays

I am a Salsa fan and Cuba is the birthplace of this intoxicating dancing style so

I looked in the web and found pretty good information about this music genre, places in Cuba to enjoy it and other related information involving dancing and performances. Last month I finally went to that salsa-frenzied country and I have to say that I deeply enjoyed my salsa Cuba holidays fully.

I stayed at Comodoro Bungalows; a lovely hotel retreat in the quiet Miramar neighbourhood that met all my expectations from the moment I arrived. Good and amicable service, peaceful atmosphere all around, and good food offers put this complex in a high pedestal (at least in my opinion). I had the chance to join a few salsa lessons there and soon realised salsa dancing is not as easy as it looks and that I had to work a lot more than I thought on my moves, but still I kept on. I visited both, the Miramar House of Music and the Galeano salsa house in old Havana; venues where locals and visitors can enjoy listening or dancing to this contagious rhythm while enjoying the great musicians live performances.

I met a few locals who were very friendly and bubbly and who invited me to La Tropical (a very local dancing ring in Havana where salsa bands and other musicians perform and play amazingly outstanding tunes almost every afternoon), I went to the House of Music in Varadero beach (lovely too) and I even took part in a kind of salsa competition in a place named Pabellon Cuba in Vedado (downtown Havana).

It was all pure fun and a lot of sweating, but I still enjoyed it as much as I anticipated I would and the experience turned out to be as great as I initially thought it was going to be.

Now I am more into salsa and I am hoping I can visit Cuba soon as to explore other salsa sites and learn how to dance like Cubans do. I believe its still a long way to go, but salsa and Cuba are worth a second try.
