Solution:
(i) Mean: barx = '(sum(x)) / n'
= '(8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 + 14 + 15 + 16) / 9'
=' 108 / 9 '

Variance: S2 = '(sum(x-barx)^2)/(n-1)'
(ii) Then we have to find out the sum of '(X - barx) 2'
