Samsung has recently launched a series of Android mobile phones called the Samsung Galaxy

. This is the first of its type by Samsung and already it has excelled other by quite a margin. The phone has a distinct combination of style and features.

The phone has a sleek and stylish look. However, one drawback of the phone is that it is made of plastic and therefore, it tends to gather the fingerprints on the surface. The only way to get rid of that is to keep on cleaning it. In fact, the fingerprints become more apparent when it is held in the sunlight.

However, the phone is studded with numerous brilliant features. Also known as Samsung i7500, the phone has a 3.2 inch AMOLED screen with resolution of 320x480 to give you stunning pictures. Also, there is a light sensor that enables you to adjust the brightness of the screen according to the environment. To offer you the best picture quality, the screen supports 16 million colors.

Galaxy has D-pad that consists of 4 main keys and an OK button located at the center of them. These keys perform different functions like locking and unlocking, switching over to the phone menu, finishing action and so on. The keys are easy to operate and they are instructive.

However, if you want to type text, there is a virtual keypad for that. It is a QWERTY keypad that can be set in both landscape and portrait format. However, the virtual keypad is extremely advanced and when you turn on the sound and vibration features, it will make you feel like actually typing on the keyboard.

Also, the user can save a lot of data for every contact. For example, you can store, postal and email addresses, company names, chat names, positions and so on. Also, the phone enables you to sync a contact to your Google account. Again, there is a feature that enables a person to divert the call from a certain number to the voice mail. The calendar of the phone too, can be synched to Google and you can view the daily, monthly or weekly agenda. With the help of it, you can track the events that recur or highlight the important events.

The interface of Galaxy is based on the Android 1.5 and this version has made up most of the shortcomings of the previous Android 1.0 version. The home screen of the phone is easy to understand, though there are three pages. You can always add shortcuts, widgets as well as applications to the home page. There is a 3.5 mm jack and micro USB port on the upper side of the phone. However, it suits very well with the style of the phone.

However, Galaxy seems to have certain drawbacks in terms of capturing the videos. It does not have much resolution, though the overall quality is not bad. However, it has a great sound quality that makes it really pleasurable to listen to the music.
