Samsung Galaxy S 2 Offers the Best of Every Phone Feature

The original Galaxy S was a huge success story for Samsung, continuing to be a bestselling smartphone for several months after its release. The phone combined excellent messaging and entertainment features and came with Samsung's highest Super AMOLED display, making it one of the brightest and most vivid phones available.

It would have been easy for Samsung to rest on their laurels with the inevitable sequel, and perhaps issue out a rehashed device with a few minor tweaks here and there. When inspecting the new Galaxy S2 however, you can quickly find that this is not the case as Samsung seem to have improved an already near perfect phone in just about every way imaginable. Not only have they managed to cram all of the latest phone technology into the S2 but have even managed to make the handset exceptionally slimmer.

The highly acclaimed Super AMOLED display of the first Galaxy S has now been swept away for an improved Super AMOLED Plus screen. This offers even more sharpness, vibrancy and vividness than the original and truly is one of the highest quality displays currently available in the mobile phone world. Samsung have also upped the size of this screen from 4" to a now even more spacious 4.3", making the new Galaxy phone even more enjoyable for video entertainment, gaming and general web browsing.

This does not add excessive bulk to the handset however, as Samsung have managed to slim the phone down to almost a millimetre thinner than the iPhone 4 (the world's current 'Thinnest Smartphone'). This is even more impressive when you consider the amount of cutting edge hardware that has been packed into the Galaxy S2. For starters, the phone is one of the first handsets to come with dual core processors and will also feature a very impressive 1GB RAM.

The Galaxy S2 also comes with a fantastic 8 megapixel camera that includes LED flash, touch focus and software features like geo-tagging and, most importantly of all, is one of the first phone cameras to come with full HD 1080p video recording support. The Galaxy S2 allows you to record full HD videos, play them back on the phone itself, or stream them through your home TV with the TV-Out or the DLNA Wi-Fi support. The Wi-Fi connection also supports Wi-Fi Direct and the 3G connections on board are twice as fast as the current industry standard (21Mbps for HSDPA).

The Galaxy S2 runs on Google Android Gingerbread that comes with optional support for Near Field Communications (NFC), allowing you to extend the functionality of your phone beyond its traditional boundaries. There are many entertainment options available on this latest Galaxy handset too, including touchscreen gaming (with games available from Android Market), music and video support, an FM radio and streaming online video with YouTube and Adobe Flash.

The Google OS also provides excellent integration for social networkers, including social networks like Facebook. Threaded SMS is available, as is email and instant messaging support. The new Galaxy will also satisfy professional phone users with many professional features on board, such as MS Office document editors.

If you are looking for a smartphone that is a prime example of all the cutting edge technology that is now available then the Galaxy S2 is it. This is by no means a slight upgrade from its predecessor as Samsung have introduced dramatic changes in just about every area of the phone imaginable.
