We already have one Samsung lcd tv 40' (forget the model, might be LN40B550 something) and we like it. As family grows we need another lcd tv, which is slightly bigger but not too big due to room size. This time when we got started we tried to avoid Samsung since personally we are the kind of people who like trying different models/manufacturers and hate sticking to one particular one. We shopped around in Amazon, and even walked in local BestBuy for other lcds like Toshiba, Panasonic, Sharp, Sony, etc. We were kind of disappointed there are just NOT any other model that is close to Samsung lcd tv in term of the ratio of quality/price.
After about 2~3 weeks we finally gave up and bought this one LN46C630. Since we have experience with Samsung we don't expect any surprise. But surprise really comes! This model has much clearer resolution than the other one (LN40B550) and even from the kitchen I can see clearly the captions near the bottom of the screen. We guess that might be due to the big size of screen, but I am not convinced 6' difference can make it so clear. Also the sound is much better too. We have the new tv for about 3 weeks now, everything works perfectly so far.
Remember though you need a little bit time to install the stand and tighten the tv, normally within 10 minutes. I am a short guy and my wife is pregnant but we had no any problem getting it set up smoothly in about 8 minutes. The only downside is that the delivery service company Amazon contracts has no weekend delivery option, but anyway you can always schedule it on Friday later afternoon right ...

Buying this tv from Amazon was a great experience. It was delivered and set up in our home and made sure that it was in working order, before the delivery personnel left. The tv itself has a beautiful picture and sound. We couldn't be more pleased.

I'm happy with this TV, and the delivery process was smooth. The HD picture is very nice, and its off-the-air digital tuner works very well. Its handling of old AV input (VCR) is better than I expected. I've gotten very good results with 1080i inputs from the component video input. It's a very attractive product.
Samsung should do better with their support for streaming movies from a PC over the Ethernet LAN port. With no ability to rewind or fastforward, and PC server software that doesn't feel that high quality, it's not a good solution. They should stick to just advertising it as a TV until the file streaming function really is attractive and usable.
The shortcomings of file streaming are documented in the user manual so I was not disappointed by them. Overall it's a very good TV and it's impressive this type of product is available for such a reasonable price.

Every part of doing bussiness with Amazon has been super.have other products,never had a complaint.TV set delivered on time,and in good working order,the delivery men were great,and helpful.Would do it again,not the TV can't afford that,that was part of my bucket list,now back to trying to work a deal with Pam Andersonhe big C takes me.Have 5 Doctors working on me now,but guess it's better then one Coroner.
