Samsung Preston Review
One of the latest in the Samsung touch screen range is the Samsung Preston
. Aside from the odd choice of name, and the few minor disadvantages, this little gadget certainly packs a punch in terms of value for money, and features. At roughly five hundred Australian dollars, this high tech, yet compact gadget seems to be rising in popularity. There are some highly impressive features that come with this phone, and also some drawbacks. Let's explore them both, as well as the different features.
Firstly, let's take a look at some of the strong points of the Samsung Preston. The first thing that springs to mind is the quality of the touch screen. If you have ever owned or even used a touch screen mobile phone in the past then you will be aware that some of the phones can have very poor quality touch screens that are not sensitive enough to touch. This, however, is not a problem when it comes to the Samsung Preston. The touch screen is highly responsive and user friendly, yet not too sensitive to be a problem. So, that's one box ticked.
Another great feature of the Samsung Preston is that it makes a very high quality media player. Again, with many other similar mobile phones, the quality of the media play back can be poor. The image quality can be pixelated, and provide a rather unpleasant experience when trying to view different media formats. However, this is not an issue with the Samsung Preston, as media play back on this little device is high quality. If you are looking for something to allow you to view or listen to media on the move then the Samsung Preston is a strong competitor to consider.
Now, to the bad points. Firstly, there have been several issues with the call quality of the Samsung Preston. Some people have reported that it can be very difficult to hear the person on the other end of the line, even when the phone is at full volume. Although this is not an isolated case, not all users have reported this issue. Although this is not a bad point, it could annoy some people - there is no jack for a standard pair of headphones. This can be especially annoying if you do not have a spare set of headphones, because you would have to buy new headphones that are specifically made to fit the jack of the Samsung Preston.
All in all this phone is a very strong competitor in the market of touch screen phones and one to be carefully considered if you are looking for a touch screen phone.
