Samsung To Produce Olympic Edition Samsung Galaxy S3 Devices
The new Samsung Galaxy S3 was recently unveiled and now the manufacturers have announced
that the handset will be the official phone for the forthcoming Olympic games which will be held in London. This means that their will be some limited edition versions of this handset produced especially for the events.
Before consumers start saving their money for one of these models it is expected that the devices will only be produced for athletes who are competing in the games. These limited edition phones will come with the Visa Paywave application pre installed to enable users to make the most of the NFC features that the model boasts. Visa co-sponsor the games and they hope that by the time the opening ceremony begins there will be 140 thousand contactless payment terminals in the UK. This will allow users to pay for goods and services by simply swiping their handset across one of these terminals. Money will then be debited from the users bank account thanks to debit card details being stored on the phone. DJ Lee, the executive vice president of Samsung and the head of their sales and marketing division commented, "The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been created with our human needs and capabilities in mind and is the ideal device to showcase the ease and convenience of Visa's mobile payment application at the London 2012 Olympic Games".
