Escondido Renaissance Faire

Get transported to the era of the Queen Elizabeth the First at the Escondido Renaissance Faire. Set to take place on 5th and 6th May, 2012, at the Felicita Park, Escondido, the Escondido Renaissance Faire offers an array of interesting activities that are sure to enthrall the visitors. There will be LIVE music, battle re-enactments, archery and weapons demonstrations, Pirates Cove, Queen's Parade, games and activities for kids and lots of entertainment. You can also buy one-of-a-kind items and souvenirs from various renaissance arts & crafts vendors and feast on delicious food and drinks. It will be fun watching people in period costumes as they re-enact the battle scenes at this lively event.

Annual Sicilian Festival in Little Italy

Being the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily is a breathtakingly beautiful place which boasts of rich culture and heritage. Now you get the taste of Sicilian culture right here in San Diego at the Annual Sicilian Festival in Little Italy.

Come to Little Italy on 20th May, 2012 between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm and experience the music, dance, delicious cuisine and culture of Sicily. Throughout the day, dance and entertainment activities will keep happening. There will be musicians and dancers in colorful costumes. You can enjoy the LIVE show of Sicilian and Italian music. Representatives from various San Diego Italian organizations will parade on the streets of beautiful Little Italy carrying flags of different regions of Sicily and Italy.

This festival is the best event to try out authentic, mouth-watering Sicilian delicacies served by the restaurants lining the streets of Little Italy. Sample some of the best Italian sausages, pasta and enjoy beer.

Best part is, Sicilian Festival is a free family-friendly event. There will be puppet theater shows, inflatable slides and lots of entertaining activities for children. American Heritage Car Show

Do you love cars? Especially the old, vintage types? If yes, then you will love the American Heritage Car Show which will be held on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend i.e. 26th May, 2012 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Grape Day Park, Escondido. You can spot various beautiful vehicles from vintage, muscle cars to hot rod cars at this fantastic car show. At the event, you can also go on museum tours, and enjoy the pancake breakfast. There will be a DJ and refreshments as well.
