San Mateo Acura TSX a real pleasure on the road

The second generation of the Acura TSX does nothing to disappoint. I'm a football fan, and the TSX was a rookie standout from 2004-2008, its first-generation production run. The concern after the rookie season is always that sophomore slump, though. The fear was that the Acura TSX might go larger and get bogged down in an array of trims and options.

That was not the case, however. Aesthetically, the 2010 Acura TSX is slightly larger than its predecessor and has slightly refined lines to give the sedan an updated and modern feel. In addition, the car is now sporting 18-inch wheels. The TSX sedan is the perfect vehicle to drive when you're ready to make the transition into luxury automobile life, but aren't quite ready to pay the prices that come along with this lifestyle the TSX is around $38k.

This luxury status will be felt first in the car's ability to get up and go, and to do so fast. The 2010 model is outfitted with a V6 engine a first for the sedan. With these extra two cylinders the vehicle can post speeds of zero to sixty in under six seconds. The 3.5-liter engine offers 280 horsepower in all. The engine will cost you a bit at the pump the sedan earns only 18-mpg fuel efficiency in city driving. But hey, higher fuel costs do come hand in hand with luxury vehicles. (Note: highway driving is more respectable, earning 27 mpg).

Sitting inside the TSX, the luxury is undeniable. Specifically, the technology/entertainment options are great. A voice-recognition navigation system with live-traffic monitoring is available. This feature will help you avoid traffic while getting out of the city to your new home in the suburbs. Additionally, pass the time with the 10-speaker surround-sound system or call home to let your family know your ETA with Bluetooth. Finally, dual-zone climate control and heated leather seats will ease your body during weekends up north this winter.
