Usually, after three or more hours working of the laptop, this ED494AA#ABA ac adapter would turn hot. Thus if there is certain smoke or strong smell, you should be alert that there might be some risk to continue use it again. You should unplug the adapter and ask experts for help. It s not expensive to get a new AC adapter as my new replacement works well.
