Not to far back my marriage was in big trouble and I had no clue what I was going to do to save our marriage. This might be the same spot your in. Does your husband or wife tell you were through? Except you know deep down you can save your marriage, I believe what I discuss with you next might change your life for the better and guide you to saving your marriage.

It really took me by total surprise when my wife started talking seriously about divorce. To tell you the truth, it always seemd like we would be together till the end of time and our love for each other would always see things through. I assumed to much, and never really paid attention to the signs that later made sense. It's no shocker I was considerably distraught she had already planned for me to start moving out and was meeting with an attorney!

All the hurt and anger I was feeling are challenging to describe. Not sure why I'm saying this, maybe you are going through the same thing now, you probably can relate. All I could think of was that I wanted to save my marriage and was willing to do anything for another chance. But what? After all, I thought everything was fine.

I had almost given in when I made some very important discoveries. Some little bits of info that took me by surprise, and showed me why I was doing it all wrong. Instead of trying to hold on I should have been stepping back, because the more I was pushing the more she was pulling away.

Then, I needed to get a hold of the irrational emotional state which had aided in causing more bad than good which are mistakes that many of us do that just makes that much more of a problem. I needed to suck it up so to speak, and put myself in a more positive place while proving my ability to remain calm, show confidence and control. With the little bit I had learned at first, I was able to move forward positively towards saving my marriage.

The things I learned is not only the start of fixing my marriage but creating one that was better than either me or my spouse ever dreamed possible. The best part about it is that it fixed our marriage, even though it was only me at first who wanted to save it. The key though was the ability for me, to recognize at that time I needed to see my marriage in a new way, like a seperate entity. Last, you really have to be willing to take serious action, know that you need help and willing to take the right steps.
