Scale Is Essential! - The Huge Banner Display Revolution
If you are familiar with trade shows and the equipment required to put on an impressive show
, you will have no doubt noticed the staple product of any of these displays - the understated banner display. The average size for these stands is roughly 80cm wide by 2m high, which provides plenty of visual area to get your message across to possible clients. There is a drawback however; everyone else has the same stand. In limited space exhibitions these banner displays are omnipresent, but with excellent reason. They supply a balance between budget and transportation, the latter being the main reason in their favour. However, if you are willing to think differently, your stand could outperform your competitors with only a little more budget.
As mentioned previously, the basic size of a banner stand is 80cm by 2 metres. This is the average size but by no means your only solution. Depending on your display space you can increase this scale both width wise and height wise to create some dramatic displays.
If you are displaying in an exhibition space with plenty of ceiling space, you may want to think about increasing the height of your banner display. Banner stands can be manufactured vertically up to 3m tall, enabling your banners to overshadow the average 2 metre banner height and increase visual impact in a bustling exhibition environment. This is a real boon when the average cost to rent an exhibition plot can be phenomenally expensive. What you may discover is that the increased cost in buying a bigger banner stand will more than pay for itself with a maximum interest in your display at your trade show.
An alternative to a very high display would be an extremely wide banner display. These can be made in sizes that average 2 metres tall by 1 metre, 1.2m, 1.5 metres and 2m wide. Any of these stands would maximise the impact of your stand greatly, but if you really want to make people stop and stare you may want to think about an even more dramatic solution.
At a height of 2.4 metres tall, the biggest banner displays can be manufactured at widths of 2.4 metres and even 3.2 metres. If you consider the scale of this, the visual area is larger than an expensive 3x4 popup frame! These stands dwarf most other displays to the point where it is impossible not to pay attention to them. These banner stands are also more economical and easier to set up than a similar sized pop up frame with complicated graphic panels. Imagine a single printed graphic, 2.4m high by 3.2 metres wide that simply recoils back into its cassette when you are done for easy transportation home in a large van or similar vehicle.
With the recession not yet finished, businesses are still unwilling to put cash into exhibitions and tend to try and limit their budget whichever way they can. This is often counter productive and could mean an exhibition is a complete waste of money if no one takes any notice of what is on offer, no matter how fantastic the products or services may be. With a bit of extra cash, your trade show display can move beyond the realms of run of the mill and become unforgettable.
