Scared of PPC?
Pay Per Click advertising can be expensive and, therefore, scary, for a new Network Marketer. Eventually though it's going to be a necessary part of promoting your websites, opportunity and name on the internet.Pay Per Click advertising allows for you to post ads online and only pay for when someone clicks on the link to your sales page or website. This means you are only paying for people interested in your products or services to view your ads. In terms of adverstising this is a revolutionary idea - imagine how much money you'd save if you could advertise on TV but only pay the people who actually watched your ad. PAy Per Click works on a kind of bidding process where you pay to advertise with certain keywords. Popular keywords like "Lose weight" might be several dollars per click wheras niche keywords like "darning needles" may only be a few ecnts per click. The most popular providor of PPC advertising is Google but you can also have a PPC account with many scoial networks like Yahoo, FaceBook or eBay. There are even websites like Bidvertiser which allow you to place ads on several websites at once. Here are some tips for getting started with PPC advertising.
Start with the right Keywords: This starts with a rigorous keyword analysis. WordTracker has some great keyword tools to get you started. Your keyword strategy is where you'll decide which keywords to optimize for and which to bid for with PPC. If you're on a budget chosing a niche keyword will help you target customers much better and save money on your clicks. For example if you have a sales page for a weight loss product targeted at overweight men then try looking for keywords like "Male Weight Loss" or "Diets for Men" rather than paying extra money for "Weight Loss". Start with one providor first: While you may want your PPC ads to get maximum exposure, it's best to get it right with one PPC provider first. There are extra costs that go with each PPC system, particularly when disallowed ads are factored in. With some PPC providers, it's not uncommon to have more than 25% of your ads rejected, requiring multiple revisions. Starting with one providor allows you to familiarise yourself with their rules and guidelines. Testing, testing: Once you've rolled out a batch of PPC ads, monitor progress for about a month. By then you should have a good idea of which keywords are working and which aren't. You should also have a good idea of what landing page combinations are earning the best conversion rates. This is your opportunity to test whether those questionable keywords are worth the effort. Extend the campaign. Armed with performance info, you can now roll out your campaign to other PPC providers. You may have to alter your first PPC ad a little because of different character count limitations, but you'll have a good idea of what to do with more or less words. You can also stagger implementation of each PPC provider, using campaign insights to further refine your approach.
