Scavenger Hunt Ideas For A Fun Childrens Party

Holding a party for your childs birthday, a fun afternoon for the neighborhood kids

, a simple get-together with your nephews and nieces? Childrens parties spell fun, especially with the different games, activities, and prizes involved. One very famous activity for childrens parties is a scavenger hunt, which can be done in various, unique ways. The goal of a Scavenger hunt is for the participants to seek different listed items, making it a very thrilling game for children.

Treasure Hunt

A treasure hunt is an exciting type of scavenger hunt that will surely get the kids all enthusiastic, and organizing a treasure hunt doesnt have to cost a treasure. Hold it in your backyard or garden and create maps made out of brown paper and write down simple clues, treasure hunter style. Plant treasures all over the place, such as chocolates covered in gold wrapping and goodies in fancily wrapped boxes. Go creative and make recycled hats that say treasure hunter.

Math Scavenger Hunt

Not only is a math Scavenger hunt fun, but educational as well. This is a unique idea for grade school-aged children who already have knowledge in basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Instead of simply listing the items to find, provide cards that consist of math problems that the children need to solve. Write the answers on colorful cardboards and spread them all over the venue; if a team answers correctly, they get to proceed to an area where a treasure is planted.

Jungle Safari Hunt

A jungle safari hunt will be extra fun with a jungle-like venue, so better hold this in your garden or decorate your backyard with animal piatas. Encourage the kids to come in safari attire like khaki shorts or a safari hat. Scatter goodies like gummy worms in colorful wrapping, pencils and stationery with animal designs, and jungle creature toys. If you want to go all-out, provide a pair of toy binoculars to let the children feel that they are really in a safari mode.

Detective Hunt

Suspense-filled and thrilling, this type of scavenger hunt will be a game that older children can fully enjoy. Write clues on paper and mysteries to solve, ala Nancy Drew or Sherlock Holmes. Better yet, add photos that may lead them to their next mystery site. When a mystery is solved, the kids get to receiver their prize.

Dont forget to consider the age range of the children to participate. Older children are good with written clues, while younger ones can do well with simple instructions. Brainstorm for more Scavenger hunt ideas that will make the kids jump in excitement.
