Schaumburg Used Highlander Dealership Receives Toyota's President's Award

Toyota is one of the industry"s most trusted names

, and the company is continually bringing innovation to a rather inconsistent automotive market. And yes, the Japanese manufacturer has recently come under fire for the way it handled the recent recall of Prius and Corolla vehicles with sticky accelerator pedals. Did Toyota deserve to catch flack for its actions? Of course. Manufacturers should always be held responsible for a decision that lands some people in the morgue and still others in the hospital. But was it necessary for government, media and consumer parties to come down so hard on the automaker in order to make an example of it?

I"ll come back to that later. For right now, I just want to point out that Schaumburg Toyota Camry dealers are still alive, well and functioning as usual. In fact, the annual Chicago Region Dealership Awards for Toyota dealers were handed out this year as usual, and it looks like your Schaumburg used Highlander dealer was a big winner on the year. All Chicago region Toyota dealers were included for consideration in the big awards, and each one of them got an equal shot at winning a title. The dealerships that were named to the awards "exemplify Toyota"s commitment to quality, excellence and customer satisfaction." For a brand that has the general reputation that Toyota holds, it"s important for each dealership to uphold the tradition that accompanies the Japanese brand name.

Four different categories lent consideration to Schaumburg used Highlander dealers and dealers of every make and model of Toyota vehicles. The first category, President"s Cabinet, "is limited to 12 dealers nationally and recognizes a combination of operational superiority, high-volume sales and outstanding customer satisfaction." While your Schaumburg Toyota Camry dealer was not recognized in this category, some Chicago Toyota dealerships were. The next category is the Board of Governors. This category was put in place to recognize "the top 60 dealers nationally in new vehicle sales volume." Again, your Schaumburg used Highlander dealer was not among the top performers in this category "" but there are still two categories left.

The next category was for the President"s Award. This category "recognizes those dealers who excel in all facets of their operations. These dealers have proven themselves to be Toyota"s very best." For this category, your Schaumburg Toyota Camry was named to the top honorees, a distinction that will set it off from the rest of the dealerships you can find littering the Schaumburg area. And the final category is the Customer Services Advisory Board, which "recognizes the top 50 parts, service and customer satisfaction dealers nationally." Again, your Schaumburg used Highlander dealer was singled out and handed this prestigious award.

So, while some people are stuck on the negatives of the past few months, Toyota continues to strive ahead in the industry, performing business as usual and leading the industry in fuel efficiency with the Prius. Until the Japanese automaker has been dethroned, we will continue to celebrate it as the highest quality manufacturer on the market.
