That is because some companies will charge fees or surcharges for that home pickup, even if it is an advertised service. However, if you look long enough, you may be able to find a company which will not charge extra just for picking up a shipment from your house. If you ship a lot, it is worth taking the time to find a company like that.

Home pickup is something that is certainly growing in the courier industry. More and more couriers see the way the business locations are trending more towards residential areas and are trying to offer more services in those regions. If you live in a suburb of a major city especially, a little searching should reveal a courier that will be able to make pickups from your house, even if they perhaps must charge you a small fee to do so.
