School Vending Machines For Busy Students

School vending machines are far from a new idea

, but more vending machines than ever are popping up across the country in elementary schools, high schools, and especially colleges. While younger kids may not be taking complete advantage of the machines in their schools, college kids always seem to making their rounds to the dispensers all over campus, and for good reason. College students are always on the go!

Unlike younger children, college students are in and out of campus. Some pop in just for a class while others prefer to set up all their classes back to back so they can enjoy a few days off from school. But even those who settle on two or three classes a day are still just as busy. They're running off to jobs and activity meetings or working on ten thesis papers at once. The point is, there is rarely time to breath, let alone eat.

When I was in college, I was commuting and running from class to work. I didn't have the luxury of spacing out classes and hanging out in a dorm room. It was back to back classes with a whopping 10 minutes in between each one. And before I knew it, I had to be at work in less than an hour. If I was lucky, I could stop off at home to change but I never had time to enjoy a meal throughout most of the day. What did I do? The same thing every other student did, I hit up the vending machines. In less than 30 seconds I could grab a bottle of water and a snack to keep me going.

School vending machines on college campuses just make sense. College is preparing you to enter the work force and full-timers know the pain of having little time to grab lunch. Society in general is just in a constant flow. But we can't have grumbling stomachs. We have to make time to eat but it doesn't have to take that long to grab a bite. With newer, more sophisticated custom vending machines, students can enjoy better meals and not just unhealthy snacks. Fresh salads, fruit, and sandwiches can now be dispensed, giving kids healthier options. And with more choices made available, students can easily make smart decisions.

College is a crazy time in our lives. It seems like we didn't sleep for four years, more for those who continued on. But in between those sleepless days and nights, students can at least grab some nutritious meals in school vending machines. Add machines to your campus and watch as they all flock to the almighty food dispensers.
