The Schwinn 420 elliptical is the successor to the Schwinn 430 line of elliptical trainers and I must say that it a worthy successor as well. For the unenlightened an elliptical trainer is a stationary machine that can emulate the motions of running, walking, climbing etc without causing much stress to the joints involved. Such machines are designed keeping in mind the comfort and physical capabilities of the user.

After searching through various shopping sites on the internet as well as searching the official websites of the manufacturers themselves, I zeroed in on the Schwinn 420 Elliptical. Mind you there are many better quality trainers available which include even more features and an extended warranty as well. However the offer from Amazon was the best. An elliptical trainer from a reputed company, available at below 600$ and as an added bonus, with free shipping was just too good to be true.

All said and done the Schwinn 420 elliptical has all the features that you would expect from this price range:

Other standard features like ergonomically designed frame, workout monitor system - thanks to the sensors on the grip, magazine holder, etc

The installation of this product was easy, provided you read all the instructions properly and as written in the manual. You would however, need help while moving the packaged box from outside to a convenient location at your home. This trainer is heavy and so a single person can't probably move it on his/her own. However, once properly installed and set up, the Schwinn 420 elliptical trainer is easy to move from one room to other thanks to the transport wheels provided.

I have used the Schwinn 420 elliptical for quite some time now and apart from the occasional slight squeaky noises that erupt from it, I have had no problems with it whatsoever. The squeaky noises too can be taken care of by liberally lubricating some of the moving parts. To put it simply, this product is probably the best one available when taken into account its cost and the features it provides. Of course, you simply can't compare it with a top of the line trainer that costs in excess of 1000 dollars, but with this trainer you get what you pay for. The Schwinn 420 elliptical trainer is in my opinion, well worth the price.
