Schwinn Airdyne Bike -- The Long Time Fitness Investment
Schwinn Airdyne Bike -- The Long Time Fitness Investment
Schwinn Airdyne bike means fitness at home. Twenty years of use is what the one I ride has seen. That's exactly what's happened with my one and only Air dyne and it was used when I got it. Here's why it works for many owners. Here also are some reasons why you will likely only need one bike and it will last well. First of all, it's a simple durable piece of equipment. It's not complicated at all. It's a big heavy steel frame with a big, wide comfortable seat. You just sit here and pedal with your legs and pump with your arms. That set of motions turns a fan. The faster you pedal and pump, the heavier is the resistance and thus the stiffer the workout. The bike is built heavy to stand up to the hardest work you can do. The bike will take whatever it gets. Because it's heavy, it's stable so there's little swaying or rocking. Lesser bikes that move around usually self-destruct. Not so this thing. The Air-Dyne just takes work with no moving about. It's a fact that if a bike sways and moves during workouts, not only is that somewhat unnerving, it's also a sure route to self-destruction. But there's more... Here's another feature. It's a better workout since both upper and lower body parts get worked. Building muscle is the way to burn fat. This is one of the most basic ways to burn calories and build muscle at the same time. That's the way to turn yourself into a fat burning machine. The real key to long term weight loss is increased basal metabolism. Using more muscles in workouts is one way to get that done and get some superior results from workouts. Airdynes don't have the powerful electronics as found on many newer designs. Of course the beauty of stationary bikes with computer power is the programming that can make it possible to pedal to simulated real world conditions, that way you fight boredom with computer power. The dual action bikes add more activity as a substitute for more electrical gadgets that are prone to break and fail. It's rugged build and superior design versus more powerful electronics. Fat burning is what you can get with a design that encourages hard work and lots of it. It's also hard to find another machine that will last and last like these things do. The Schwinn AirDyne bike that I use has been trouble free and one of the best machines I've used. It's a great workout machine that's easy to use and easy to own. Maybe mine will last for another twenty years. It may outlast me...
