Sciatic nerve leg pain can vary from a slight twinge to severe pain running from the lower back through the buttock and down the leg. Sciatica is a set of symptoms caused by the sciatic nerve which is one of the widest and longest nerves in the human body. The pain is caused by this nerve being pinched or trapped form an injury of some sort and may remain for some time.

A few years ago I injured my back while lifting a heavy object incorrectly and ended up with sciatic nerve leg pain and this pain prevented me from doing one of my favourite pastimes of going to local football games as I found standing almost impossible, Walking was no problem but standing around was very difficult and to find a seat was like gold so as to relieve the pain.
At the time of this injury I worked in the haulage business and found it almost impossible to drive a truck without stopping every ten or so miles. If I drove twenty which at times I had no choice on motorways my leg would go numb with severe pain. The pain would usually start in the buttock and travel down the leg so I was constantly trying to think of ways to alleviate this pain.
One evening after work I got a piece of wood about two feet by one foot to sit on, and cut a hole out of one side so there would be no pressure on the bone on the buttock and covered the seat with some padding. The following day I couldn't wait to try out my new device and to my surprise the sciatic nerve leg pain was much better and after some minor adjustments the numbness and pain disappeared.
Now I am not saying this will work for you but it might be worth looking into as a cheap pain reliever for sciatic nerve leg pain.
