We're currently in the middle of Scottish Week at the popular Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai!
Not the first place you might think of when casting your mind towards all things Scottish, but the Dhow & Anchor, Jumeirah Beach Hotel's popular British restaurant and Uptown Bar are hosts to a lively Scottish Week celebration that began on Thursday 24th February and will run until Wednesday, 2nd March 2011. From special activities and live sporting events to traditional Scottish delicacies and goodies to take home, you wouldn't miss being away from the land of bagpipes and tartan kilts.
Scottish Week at Dhow & Anchor and Latitude
Join in the fun at Jumeirah Beach Hotel as they pay homage to Scottish fare and beverages during Scottish Week. Dhow & Anchor will offer daily food specials and promotions on a variety of speciality Scottish beers, single malts and Scottish whiskies. All they lack is Rab C Nesbitt drinking the bar dry!
Dhow & Anchor was decked out in Scottish and Irish regalia when Scotland took on Ireland in the RBS 6 Nations Championship rugby match on 27 February. Special food and drink promotions were in free flow throughout the night. Which was possibly what Scottish fans needed most given that they were beaten by 21-18 by a spirited Irish side.
Daily Scottish specials continue to be available at Latitude in addition to its sumptuous international buffet selection.
Uptown Bar will be serving exclusive whisky flights with 4 canaps for the duration of Scottish Week. Each whisky flight will contain 4 whiskies expertly paired with a variety of Scottish inspired canaps using the freshest of ingredients from Scotland.
