Scrapbook Software - Understanding Your Design Space

Despite this, tutorials can be difficult to use if you do not know how to operate the tools or understand the design template. This can be frustrating and make you want to abandon the software. Do not give up! This article will help you understand a scrapbook software design template.

THE WELCOME SCREEN: The welcome screen is the first thing you see when you open any scrapbook software. It gives you the option of creating a new scrapbook or opening a saved one. If you have just started using the program, you need to create a new scrapbook. Simply click on create a new scrapbook, choose a theme and name your scrapbook and start creating digital memories.

THE PAGE: One of the most important elements in scrapbook software is the design page. The page is the large blank space that takes up most the design space. This is where all the scrapbooking magic happens. Here, you add photos, text and embellishments to the page making it unique to you! As your scrapbook grows, you can add more pages. The default page size is 8 x 8, but you can change that to fit your needs.

THE MENU: The menu is at the top of the design space and lists commands such as File, Edit, Page, Object, Effect and Help. When you click on these commands, a drop screen will appear with other commands. To use one of these commands, simply click on it.

THE TOOLBAR: Below the menu, you will find a series of icons. This series of icons makes up the toolbar. The icons in the toolbar do many of the things you see when using the menu. For instance, there are icons that allow you to save, insert photos, text and embellishments on the design page.
