Well one has to ask why does it every time we seem to turn a corner with the Marbella property for sale market places does something seem to happen that makes you wonder what the people running the place are up to. Marbella judge Ricardo Puyol has imposed a bond of 60 million euros for civil responsibility upon the main defendants in the "Goldfinger" case, amongst them is the Scottish actor Sean Connery. Also amongst the defendants is the wife of the actor, former mayor of Marbella Julian Muoz, and major law firm partners who had been involved as legal representatives of the actor. The court has provided ten days for the defendants to deposit the bond. Now if James was around he could just call M and have it wired over but unfortunately we live in the real world. So what is the judge up to when it's fairly clear that this bond demand will never be met. My guess is that he will then issue arrest warrants or contempt of court proceedings against those involved which is going to help nobody and scare those rich people who are thinking of relocating to Marbella away. Mayor ngeles Muoz must be pulling her hair out seeing all her great promotion for the city being effected by adverse publicity and I am sure if she had any influence she would ask Judge Ricardo Puyol to reconsider his position which has to have a negative impact on properties for sale in Costa del Sol. It's a shame because there does seem to be that feeling that were out of the property recession in Marbella and our phones have been red hot this week with enquires from serious buyers wanting to buy in Marbella and we just hope that none of those who were thinking about moving down here to live have been put off by a judge who under European law has probably acted illegally as surely you have to charge someone with a crime before demanding a bond. The reality about this is it's not going to affect individuals like you and I but it doesn't help in selling Marbella and Spain to the international jet set.
