There are many ways of getting links (also known as backlinks) from other sites. Article directories are one of the best since they are content based and Google loves content.

Links from social media sites like Facebook and Twitter are also good. Any site that has a good authority and traffic in Google is a good bet. And the closer the topic is related to your website the better.

It can be difficult to get links from the top sites as there are many sites owners also asking. But if you use sites like article directories, there is no need to ask, you just submit the content and you get the backlink.

Once the initial costs of SEO have been covered (if you don't do it yourself) the traffic is free. This means more profit and you make more money online. This beats having to pay for traffic as you would if you bought traffic from PPC search engines like Google AdWords.
