Social networks like Facebook and MySpace for instance, not only have a lot of people that belong, they also have great Alexa ranking and they are important in the eyes of search engines. Do your due dilligence and find out what "type" of people populate each social website so you will know what you should be focusing on on.

The second thing you need to do is learn how to add "alt tags" to the images on your blog. If you do your keyword research properly you will be blogging about something with low to medium competition and this would get you a page one ranking on Google images.

The next thing is to use videos on your website. You don't have to put yourself in these videos if you don't want to, (some people are shy), but ever since Google bought YouTube, videos on people's websites have became extremely important.
