Search For Nadia Bloom Autistic 11 Year Old Enters A Crucial Time

Nadia Bloom has been missing for nearly 96 hours

. Winter Springs, Floridapolice believe that about the length of time she can survive without food or water. They plan to begin searching again Tuesday morning as soon as it daylight. Officers are not asking for the public help and say this type of work is best left up to the experts. But that not stopping members of Nadia church from getting involved. They conducted a search for the 11 year old, mildly autistic girl Monday and say they l continue to search until she found, even though no one in the Metro Church group has any special training.

It's just regular folks like you and me,said Associate Pastor Randy Green.

But Green says nearly all of them have kids, and they feel a connection with the Bloom family. ?e have a special tie to the family because they?e come to church here a lot, and there are a lot of people here that know ?m and love ?m,said Green. He says their group of about 35 is trying very hard to avoid interfering with the search being conducted by the police. ?e were just trying to go out and help, trying to stay out of the way of the Winter Springs police, so we were going to places where they were not,said Green.

The group concentrated their efforts in the thick vegetation and orange groves down Black Hammock Road and all the way to Lake Jessup. ?he first area that we searched, I mean, it? a jungle in there,said Green. ?t? wet, and it? really thick. It? hard to go through. Nadia disappeared on Friday afternoon. Her bike was found with the kickstand down at the end of a cul-de-sac near the family? home in the gated community of Barrington Estates off State Road 434 in Winter Springs. Police have been searching since then without any success. Bloodhounds picked up Nadia? scent in an area just north of where her bike was left but then lost the trail.

Known sex offenders have been interviewed in the area, but investigators say it appears that Nadia, who? a nature lover, just walked off into the woods and got lost.
