Holidaymakers that want to make the most of their time away should book flights to Paris. The French capital has long been a favourite destination for tourists from all over the world who come to sample fine French cuisine and regional wines. Paris is also well known for its bakeries, so whilst in the city try coconut tarts and the tasty sweet flans from a patisserie, which can be found on nearly every street. Paris' attractions are spread far and wide so holidaymakers can walk between them to burn off all of the extra calories!

If you like to watch sports, a trip over to Parc de Princes is worthwhile, and not too expensive. The stadium is home to Paris St Germain - one of France's biggest football teams. For something a bit more conventional holidaymakers should head right in to the centre of town to visit the cathedral at Notre Dame, before walking or taking a short metro ride up the river to the Louvre. The museum has a few world famous collections with artefacts dating as far back as 7000BC. Paris is great for a last minute holiday because there is so much to do and a trip takes little preparation.

After spending a day marvelling at the famous art in Parisian museums, there is a choice of good bars to start the evening off. The best places can be found around the Champs Elysee and the Marais. Visit Le Dada or the slightly cheaper and more down to earth Petit Defi de Passy for a swift bire or two. For a special night out, try to get a seat at the cabaret tables of the 100 year old Moulin Rouge, or go to the famous old jazz cellar on the Rue de la Huchette.

For a more hectic night, get a metro down to the Rex club near Mtro Bonne nouvelle in central Paris to dance the night away to house and the odd drop of techno. Visitors should be aware that the clubs in Paris don't really come to life until after 1am so have a nap if you've spent the day trekking around the city's museums.

Hotels in Paris can be rather expensive due to the city's popularity as a tourist hub, but there is a hotel for every budget, close to the main attractions meaning cheap holidays are possible in the French capital. The three-star Regina Opera Hotel is located very centrally and is within a short distance to the city's main attractions. The Louvre is just a few metro stops away, as is Notre Dame Cathedral. Equally well located is the four-star Villa Montparnasse which is pricey but well worth the money for the luxurious interiors and the convenience of its location next to the metro.

So if you're looking for a holiday with culture, cuisine and crazy nights out, consider visiting Paris. A city break in this beautiful city will be one to remember.
