Seiko Monster Watch Best

When my best friend first buy the Seiko monster wrist watch and worn it to the office the wristwatch design certainly catches my eyes

. Wow what a striking Orange divers wrist watch.

For the following few days I found myself struggling to resist the temptation to buy the Seiko monster on the web.

It developed on me to the point when I desired to have one personally. I began to get information from the online community for recommendations about this watch. I've got to blame some of those watch forums where quite a few positive reviews and where you may also see some very nice pictures of the popular Seiko monster writst watch.

In addition to the favorite Seiko black monster and Orange monster.

The Seiko monster series have a few Limited Edition models listed below

I have definitely discovered the very best price of Seiko monster SKX781K1 on Ebay from a retailer with great reviews known as watches59. The seller was a Singaporean and since it actually was my first experience I am somehow unlikely and he seemed to be a little hesitant since it looks like I also I was from Russia. Nevertheless right after a short inquiry on the wrist watch forums I finally discovered that he was actually the very professional Mr. Adrian Low which is a very well kown on the internet wristwatch retailer which is also related to a web site which I already have notice but the big range without many search options mostly discouraged me at first sight even now I've found much easier to look for an unusal cost effective Seiko by placing a string such as "SKX779 skywatches.com.sg" within the search bar.

Although my concerns were gone it seems that Adrian might still had some concerns with regards to Russian buyers or maybe just his payment gateway has directly decline cards payment from countries like Romania,China or India so finally I had to make use of service through Western Union which also can not provide the "buyer protection" that some cards have, but that was not needed in this case.

And from what the guys at the forum compliment about Adrian Low quickly service in under a week later the Seiko orange monster was in my hands. It was shipped packed in a standard Seiko wrist watch box and very well packaged but it was extremely amazing!

The details

The writst watch is a rather practical but well designed mechanical with the widespread Seiko 7S26 movement in a really impressive 200 meter WR case with screwdown crown and one-way rotating bezel.

The writst watch case is big at about 42 mm without crown) and quite heavy but quite interesting in style and design and rather innovative for a diver not another Rolex look alike, with smart bezel and crown guards. The crown itself is at the 4 o'clock position which is more comfortable for large wrist watches and also quite standard for many Seiko automatic watches). The one-way rotating bezel is also a very nice looking part of the global design of the wrist watch the inward curving will protect the actual surface of the bezel and the bezel will protect the crystal - as well as being a very smooth moving bezel as well as 120 clicks are quite well aligned.

The hardlex crystal is rather large and domed which is a handy feature underwater where reflections on a flat crystal can sometimes make a watch unreadable) - but it is a rather strange material listed as Hardlex in some Seiko descriptions - it does not look like normal glass but seems to be quite scratch-resistant! While in the initial models the crystal was slightly protruding from under the bezel in recent models it was replaced with one that is just under it - so the protection is probably even more effective (and indeed it is - mine is still perfect :) )

The dial is also big and - along with the hands very simple to read under any kind of light condition with an unique design that I also find VERY smart and pleasant there is an upward curving minutes chapter that provides a certain impression of depth but what I like most is the long minutes hand that will reach (and can be perfectly aligned with) the minutes marks, the slighly longer yet still luminous painted (at the "correct" end) and very sharp seconds hand and the clearly different hour hand - it is a design as good and clear as it can get without a pure "regulateur"! Another part of the design that I love is the orange color - with the best contrast underwater but also with an stimulating look on casual wear - and the large luminous markings which may be nothing short of amazing in the dark!

Another very outstanding feature is the bracelets - some models have a rubber strap but I would never order a monster without the monster steel bracelet - it's probably the very best and most solid stainlesss steel bracelet that you can find on a writst watch from the "less than a small car" price range and most important of all it will give great balance to the rather heavy case! Because the lugs are drilled which is another valuable feature hard to find within this price range) it's possible to change at any time the bracelet with anything else you like and in the process you will also notice the largest spring bars within the normal wrist watch. The band also has a secure and safe two-button folding clasp with safety locking mechanism along with a usable wet-suit extension and clearly is made from solid links held by solid pins :)

The entire wristwatch is big plus quite strong and at some point I was just a little afraid it would be hard wear - I have to report that it is OK for me personally also it looks pretty great!

The watch can't be hand wound (which is certainly anyway not a thing that you need to do often to a scuba diver writst watch which has a screw-down crown) and also is non hacking meaning that when you pull the crown to the time setting position the seconds hand won't stop that can make a very precise synchronization quite challenging until you learn the trick by incorporating back pressure that will actually stop the watch!
