The poster board size that you need for your requirement will always depend on the amount of display area that you feel comfortable with

. There are a few other parameters too which differentiate one poster board from another. These parameters can also help you in determining the right dimensions that you pick. For example, when you want to use the board in a small room, to put up a presentation, you can go for small or medium range poster boards which are around 8.5 to 14 inches in length and 11 to 22 inches in width. These poster boards can be seen only when the audience walks close to it. It should also be noted that these poster boards wouldn't work if they are mounted too high.

On the other hand, you should go for a poster board size with length varying from 20 to 36 inches and width varying from 28 to 48 inches when you want to mount the board very high or in the open. If you are using these boards for announcements or marketing campaigns and want the audience to be able to spot it, you can complement the bigger size of the boards with the right kind of surface as well. You can go for neon boards which are either painted with bright colors like orange, canary yellow or light green or have a neon bright laser paper attached to them. The benefit of attaching a neon laser paper is that you can print out whatever it is that you want to display and then attach it to the board.

The poster board size is also sometimes affected by the mounting options and transportation. That is one reason why you can go for boards which are pre-scored. These boards which are usually around 20 X 30 inches or bigger can fold down into a much smaller area enhancing their portability to a great extent. In some cases, you have to consider the size with greater consideration, because you wouldn't see the entire board at one angle. There are 2 and 3-ply corrugated tri-fold boards which have 3 different panels. That is why these boards are usually much bigger in the range of 36 X 48 inches.

You can make do with a smaller poster board size if you want to display the content on both sides of the board. By simply flipping the board, you can exhibit a different signage or message ideal for exit signs or for signaling that an event is on or has ended for the day. The poster boards offer plenty of utility. They are used for block painting, art projects and even construction, which is why there is no strict tab on what their dimensions should be. There are tri-fold reversible panel displays as well which give you a huge area to work with. From bulletin panels to charts, graphs and even photo posters, you can use the poster boards for a wide variety of displays cutting and shaping them as per your need.
