Remove clutter, paint rooms white or neutral colours, take away excess furniture, make sure its spotless especially the kitchen and bathroom, and make good any repairs that need doing. Dont give buyers any reason to knock down the price or put them off as they will have to do too many decorative jobs on the house.

Fourth, you need the best agent you can find. The agent needs to be honest, friendly, trustworthy, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A bad agent who is not interested in selling your home wont do you justice so its a good idea to first pose as a buyer and see which agent seems the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
