Advertisement is a process by which one can communicate through marketing to help people to buy the product

. The first form of advertisement was made using a papyrus leaf. This was created by Egyptians and the same can be seen even today displayed in Egyptian museums. The need for advertising is to assure the customers or target buyer that the product is reliable to buy and is successful. Advertising cost is mostly paid by the company. The different forms of using advertising sign are traditional media such as newspapers, magazines, television commercials, posts, pamphlets, radio and banners or modern methods are blogs, electronic mails, posting on websites, social networking sites etc.

To promote a product we can use adverting sign such as neon signs. These are similar to banners but are electronically made using neon lights. The message is created using neon bulbs. This is one of the most popular way to promote hotels, big establishments, cafes malls etc. Display stands are one of the best method of advertising. They are similar to hoarding but they also serve as the stands where a marketing agent can stand in and promote the product. They are very much seen in trade fairs and exhibitions. Sky writing is another form of modern day advertisement, though very costly in nature, its most effective too.

A huge banner with the advertisement is tied to a place and the banner will fly in the air at designated perimeter to promote the product. It creates a lot of curiosity among people and hence increases the buyer market. People sign is another raging form of advertisement where people are paid money to carry the advertisement sign. They are supposed to cover the given area. The potential customers are attracted to such human advertisements and hence also increases in buyer market .Covert advertising is one where celebrities are used to promote a product in their movies or assignments. This directly influences the fans to buy such commodities. Digital signage is also a popular form of advertising in the 20th century. Advertising through World Wide Web (WWW), sending bulk e-mails. This advertising form emphasizes on a specific target audience which in turn turns them to potential buyers.

Advertising sign is not only meant for promoting a product but also used to create awareness among people. They are used in election campaigns, to promote government initiatives etc. Billboards, banners were also used to warn people against contagious diseases, calamities, storms etc. Modern day analysts criticize advertisement firms on spending huge amount money on advertisements. A match box commercial is more costly than a car commercial these days. They also claim that wrong commodities or low quality products gain entry into the market with such wrong advertisements. False advertisement is also prevalent in the market, it is a process where consumers are misguided by the advertising firms to buys products that are expired , out of stock etc.The respective government have deployed many governing bodies to check on the number of adverting signs places in various parts of the city or state. The firms have to abide the law of the land. Consumer is the king; they have to choose the correct product. They have to judge whether the advertisement is genuine or is fake, whether they can trust the advertisement or not.
