Our advice to you is to use Google Keyword Tool, although it is an estimate, it roughly gives you an idea of how many people search the keyword monthly. The great thing about Google keyword tool is that it gives you countless variations of the keyword which are typed into Google, make sure to change the keyword to exact instead of broad and you will get the exact amount of searches monthly. Broad = other variations of the keyword included in the search figures (# of searchers), exact (exact # of searchers searching the keyword without variations).

Once you found your set of keywords, you must now properly inject them into different places of your website, so how do you begin such an erroneous task?

Your first step is to take care of your main page. The main page of your website is the most important page, it is where all your users will be landing and it is provided the most relevancy and weight by Google. Remember, keyword density is important, don't stuff and spam keywords all over the website or you will be ranked very low. Make sure to use the entire phrase of the keyword your using once or twice and then use it through out the page with synonyms. Write constructive sentences and cohesive paragraphs relating to your products and services, and it will help boost you up for keywords.

Do not think for a moment that you cannot compete for a keyword by using simply content, millions of blogs and articles are written by people just like you and do not require back links or any other form of SEO, they can achieve first pages simply based on the pure amount of content they have; But heed this warning, if you are planning to attack the search engine world plainly with content, then make sure your entire page is content based. Otherwise, if you want just a small amount of content on your website, then make sure to inject keywords in the right doses into the right areas and then use other SEO techniques such as back link building.
