Setanta Sports Eurasia And Mp & Silva Sign Exclusive 3-year Live Rights Deal
Setanta Sports Eurasia and MP & Silva today confirmed that they have signed an exclusive three year deal for Serie A and Ligue 1.
The agreement allows Setanta Sports to broadcast live content from two of the top leagues in the world to the Eurasian market. The regions which will avail of the content are: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The exclusive deal commences at the beginning of the 2012/2013 campaign and runs through to the end of the 2015/2016 season.
The acquisition of Serie A and Ligue 1 follows recent other high profile rights additions by Setanta Sports Eurasia, such as the English Premier League, FA Cup, La Liga, MLS, NHL, Bundesliga content and the 250 ATP World Tour. The deal means that Setanta are now showing content from all the big five European leagues and are the first and only channel across the region to do so.
