For instance, the 32 inch standard television can come with the aspect ratio of 4:3. Meanwhile, the 32 inch wide-screen television can come with the aspect ratio of 16:9. For that reason, it is very important for you to measure your television with the correct measurement before you are going to sell it. So, these are going to give you some information that will guide you in measuring your television screen.

As the first step, you need to use measuring tape and place the metal part of it in the lower left corner of the television screen. After that, you have to hold this metal part in place using your finger.

The second step is to stretch your measuring tape across to the top of right corner from your television screen. It is important for you to diagonally stretch the measuring tape across your television.

Third step is to write down the result of your measurement. This is to help you in memorizing the measurement that you have taken.

The fourth step that you need to do is to take note in order to determine whether your television is standard or wide screen. If it is known that your television is wide-screen, you can find that the television will be wider and it is not as tall as the standard television. Therefore, you will also find that the 32 inch wide-screen television will seem much larger than the 32 inch standard television.

Lastly, you have to measure the height and width of your television screen. Make sure that you give the complete information to the buyer and try to give explanation that the sizes of television are always measured diagonally.
