Additionally, you should also clean your pet bedding and other textiles in the cage and wash them. Make sure that you clean them properly. For better result, you can use softener so that the bedding and the textiles will be soft for your pet.

After the cage is free from the accessories, you can start washing it. In this case, you can wash the cage and the accessories together. Soak them in hot water before you scrub all surfaces of the cage and the accessories. For this, you can use a sponge or a scrub brush with antibacterial soap. After that, you have to rinse them with hot water.

Then, you should dry the cage and all the accessories by using towel. After that, you can place the accessories back in clean cage. Refill the water and food that your pet needs. After everything is ready, place your pet back to the cage. Those are simple things that you can do to ensure the cleanliness of your pet cage. By doing those things, you will find that your pet will have nice place to stay.
