Sex And The City Actor Marries Long-term Partner In Destination Wedding Ceremony Held In Hawaii

Chris Noth is famous for playing the role of the commitment-phobic Mr Big in Sex

and the City and in real life it appears he was also not ready to commit for a number of years.

However, the 57-year-old actor has finally tied the knot to his long-term girlfriend, Tara Wilson, after they became the latest couple to choose weddings abroad over traditional ceremonies at home.

The couple got married on 6th April, 2012 in a sunset ceremony on the island of Maui in Hawaii in front of an intimate gathering of close family and friends.

Their four-year-old son, Orion, was the ring bearer and the ceremony took place at a luxurious oceanfront estate on Makena Beach which is a popular spot for destination weddings.

An insider said: Chris and Tara married in the most romantic way possible. Tara was beaming, and Chris had a smile on his face the entire time.

The 30-year-old bride wore a sleeveless white dress with a beautiful white veil and the groom wore a double-breasted charcoal suit.

The ceremony was carried out by a local priest and the wedding party celebrated the marriage with a reception at the nearby award-winning Gannons restaurant.

A source commented: Guests dined on crab cake with a sweet chilli sauce, baby romaine lettuce, macadamia-crusted island fish with mango ginger beurre blanc and braised short ribs with mashed potatoes.

The newlyweds then headed to the Four Seasons Maui hotel for their honeymoon.

Noth met Wilson in 2002 when she was working in his bar, The Cutting Room in New York. In 2008, they had their son Orion and the couple got engaged in October 2009.

Like many other celebrities who choose weddings abroad, the pair opted for a small, private and romantic ceremony in Hawaii.
