Two kids require a lot of room so you shouldnt feel bad when you want to optimize floor space by investing in bunk beds for the kids. The only problem with children sharing a bedroom is that they usually feel a sense of competition with their sibling, especially as they get older. Thats why its important to make room for a little individuality, even when space is limited. Allow both of your children to help in the decorating process. If one child loves sports and the other loves art, look for ways to incorporate the two into the overall design of the room. Encourage and reward your kids for sharing. When they both have the same bedroom they may be prone to more selfish tendencies as a means to establish their own identity, which can ultimately lead to a rift. Make an effort facilitate camaraderie between the siblings. Make sure that you have another space in your home where one of your children can go for privacy. You can imagine what it would like to never have any alone time, so make sure that your children have plenty of opportunity. When planning sleepovers, make sure that the arrangements are planned ahead of time and that both siblings are okay with the arrangements or arrange another sleeping space for the unwilling sibling. Finally make sure there are two closets in the bedroom. Consider investing in armoire or a clothing rack. Siblings often share clothing growing, but its definitely cause for fighting and some rivalry.
